One Day Ayahuasca Retreat Experience
Before the San Pedro Ceremony
Before participating in our San Pedro ceremony in Cusco, we recommend a preparatory practice as part of the experience. One available option is the use of volcanic medicinal water—a traditional practice lasting between 1 and 2 hours—which takes place the day before the San Pedro ceremony.
You can choose between two experience options:
Full Andean ceremonial experience: This option includes: volcanic medicinal water, coca leaf reading, energy cleansing, the San Pedro (Wachuma) ceremony, an offering to Pachamama, and a floral cleansing bath.
Two-technique experience: This option includes volcanic medicinal water and the San Pedro (Wachuma) ceremony. The option you choose will determine which ceremonial practices are included in your one-day San Pedro experience in Cusco.
Transfer from Cusco to the Retreat Center
At the previously arranged time, we will pick you up in Cusco and travel to our retreat center, located approximately one hour from the city.
Surrounded by Andean nature, the center provides a quiet and comfortable setting for the different activities included in the experience. The environment allows you to spend time away from the city and connect with the natural landscape surrounding the retreat center.
Our Wachuma ceremony in Cusco is available in two schedules: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
We particularly recommend the morning schedule if you would like to experience the ceremony during daylight and enjoy the surrounding rivers, mountains and natural landscape. The afternoon schedule is also available depending on your preferences and availability.
Coca Leaf Reading and Ceremonial Preparation
Once we arrive at the retreat center, the experience begins with a Coca leaf reading, a traditional practice associated with Andean cultural traditions.
The reading provides an opportunity for personal reflection and orientation at the beginning of the experience. Based on the reading, our specialist will introduce the focus of the following ceremonial practices.
This opening practice connects the experience with elements of the Andean tradition before the main San Pedro ceremony begins.
Energetic Cleansing
We then continue with a traditional energetic cleansing practice, which forms part of the preparation for the main ceremony.
The practice is carried out in a natural environment and accompanied by our specialist. It forms part of the broader set of Andean ceremonial practices included in the full experience.
San Pedro (Wachuma) Ceremony
The central part of this San Pedro experience in Cusco is the San Pedro (Wachuma) ceremony.
The ceremony is led by our specialist, with an assistant present throughout the experience. It takes place in a prepared ceremonial space surrounded by the natural landscape of the Andes.
During the ceremony, participants remain accompanied by our team and are guided through the experience according to the established ceremonial practices.
San Pedro, also known as Wachuma, has a longstanding connection with Andean cultural traditions. This experience introduces participants to the ceremonial context in which it is practiced while providing a structured setting surrounded by nature.
Pachamama Offering
As part of the Andean San Pedro ceremony, we continue with a Pachamama offering, a traditional practice associated with gratitude, respect and connection with Mother Earth.
The offering forms part of the ceremonial practices that accompany the San Pedro experience and provides a moment to reflect on the relationship between people, nature and the Andean cultural tradition.
Flowering Bath
The ceremonial practices conclude with a flowering bath, traditionally used as part of the closing of different Andean ceremonial experiences.
This practice forms part of the full experience and provides a symbolic transition toward the final integration and closing of the day.
Integration and Closing
Once the ceremonial activities have concluded, we will have time for integration and reflection with our specialist.
You may voluntarily share your experience, sensations and reflections from the day. Our specialist can also discuss what you experienced from the perspective of the Andean tradition in which the ceremony takes place.
After the closing activities, we will begin our return journey to Cusco at approximately 7:00 p.m., marking the end of your 1-day San Pedro ceremony in Cusco.
Important Information
Participants are generally advised to arrive fasting before the San Pedro ceremony. The experience follows the selected schedule and is carried out according to the individual circumstances and conditions of each participant.

- Private Round-Trip Transportation, private transportation from Cusco to the retreat center in the South Valley, followed by return transportation to Cusco at the end of the experience.
- Guidance and Support Throughout the Experience, you will be accompanied throughout the experience by our Andean ceremony specialist and an assistant who will provide guidance and support during the different activities. Assistance is available in Spanish,
- Traditional Ceremonial Elements, we provide the traditional elements required for the different practices included in the experience, including the San Pedro (Wachuma) ceremony, Pachamama offering, energetic cleansing practices, and flowering bath.
- Guidance and Integration, you will have dedicated time for conversation, individual or group questions, and reflection with our specialist. This space allows you to share your experience and discuss what you experienced during the ceremony from the perspe
- Connection with Nature, as part of the experience, you may take a guided walk around the retreat center and its natural surroundings, accompanied by our assistant.
Not Included (reference costs)
- Travel Insurance, personal travel insurance for the duration of your trip.
- Additional Accommodation, accommodation before or after the San Pedro experience is not included.
- Additional Expenses, any personal expenses or services not specifically mentioned in the itinerary.
- Additional Drinks, beverages that are not included in the program.

Ceremony Preparation Form
To take part in the Ayahuasca retreat, we ask everyone to complete the Preliminary Screening Form. This lets the medical team and shamans verify your health history and safely authorize your participation.
