Day 1

Day 1 – Arrival in Huayopata, preparation, and first ceremony

Your 5-day ayahuasca retreat begins with private transport from Cusco to Huayopata, where our retreat center is located.

Upon arrival, we will provide a brief orientation and introduce you to the team responsible for guiding participants through the preparation process for the ayahuasca ceremony and the initial purification activities.

Next, we will hold an introductory session to explain what ayahuasca is and the purpose of the ceremony. This will also be a time for participants to ask questions and receive guidance before proceeding with the retreat program.

Preparation continues with a coca leaf ceremony, accompanied by a traditional prayer for the unification of energies. Afterward, we will conduct a brief meditation session as part of the retreat preparation.

In the evening, we will prepare for the first ayahuasca ceremony in Huayopata.The first ceremony begins at 7:00 PM. This concludes the activities for the first day.

Day 2

Day 2 – Integration and second ayahuasca ceremony

The second day begins with breakfast, following the dietary guidelines established for the ayahuasca retreat.

After breakfast, we will hold an integration session with our ceremonial guide. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and reflect on what they went through during the first ceremony.

Then, we will have a light snack and time to relax. Participants will also have free time to explore the area around our retreat center and enjoy the natural surroundings of Huayopata.

Later in the afternoon, we will begin preparations for the evening ceremony, followed by a personal meditation session.

The second traditional ayahuasca ceremony begins at 7:00 PM. This concludes the main activities of the second day.

Day 3

Day 3 – Integration, nature walk, and rest

The third day begins with breakfast. Afterwards, we will hold a group integration session where participants can share their experiences and reflections regarding the ayahuasca ceremonies. This provides time dedicated to personal reflection and integration throughout the retreat.

Next, we will take a short group walk through the natural landscape of Huayopata and the area surrounding our retreat house, allowing participants to spend time connecting with nature.

After the walk, we will have a light lunch. The afternoon will be dedicated to rest and relaxation, giving participants time to enjoy the surroundings or have some personal time.

Afterwards, we will have dinner, bringing the activities of the third day to a close.

Day 4

Day 4 – Nature activity in Huayopata and third ceremony

The fourth day begins with breakfast.Then, we will participate in a brief activity in the area surrounding our retreat house in Huayopata. During this experience, participants will learn about some of the area's native plants and take part in other activities scheduled for this stage of the retreat.

Following the activity, we will have a light snack and some time to rest or enjoy a recreational activity before continuing with the program.

Later, we will hold a meditation session as part of the preparation for the evening ceremony.

In the evening, we will prepare for the retreat's third and final ayahuasca ceremony.

The third ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM. This concludes the ceremonial activities for the fourth day.

Day 5

Day 5 – Final integration, offering to Pachamama, and return to Cusco

The fifth and final day begins with breakfast at 8:00 AM. After breakfast, we will hold a final group integration session, where participants can share their experiences and reflections regarding the three ayahuasca ceremonies held during the retreat.

Subsequently, we will conclude the retreat with an offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth), as part of the traditional practices incorporated into the final stage of the experience.

Following this closing activity, our 5-day ayahuasca retreat will come to an end. We will then begin the return journey to Cusco via private transport.

14 Days Before the Ceremony

As part of the traditional preparation, we recommend avoiding:

  • Pork.

  • Sexual activity.

  • Cannabis.

  • Recreational drugs or stimulants such as cocaine, MDMA, amphetamines, and similar substances.

  • Very spicy or heavily seasoned foods.

  • Ice, ice cream, and excessively cold drinks.

7 Days Before the Ceremony

During the final week, we recommend keeping your diet simple and light and avoiding:

  • Refined sugar and foods high in added sugar.

  • Red meat.

  • Fast food and ultra-processed foods.

  • Excessive salt and pepper.

  • Sweets, chocolate, and desserts.

  • Excessive oils. If needed, use small amounts of olive or coconut oil.

  • Animal fats such as lard.

  • Soft drinks and carbonated beverages, including diet versions.

  • Energy drinks and non-alcoholic beer.

  • Dairy products.

  • Fermented foods.

  • Coffee, caffeinated beverages, and other stimulants.
